Clara Lee
And the
Apple Pie Dream
By Jenny Han

Review written by Bailey Lilac

Reccomended age for readers: 8 to 14.

Clara Lee and the Apple Pie Dream is a great book for children 8+. It is about an 8 year old Korean girl, and her family; Her mother, father, grandfather, and 6 year old little sister, Emmaline, who all live in America. Clara Lee wants to be Little Miss Apple Pie in the local Apple Pie Festival, which takes place every autumn in Bramley (Where they live.). Clara Lee has a dream, that her grandfather intererates as a good luck dream. Clara thinks that she has a good chance at becoming Little Miss Apple Pie, until her luck begins to fail her- And she finds out that she will be running against the great-great-great niece of the founder of the festival! Its got some funny stuff in it too.
